Have you noticed how much waste ends up where it shouldn’t? World Cleanup Day is a simple way to change that together. The idea began in Estonia in 2008 with the “Teeme ära” (“Let’s Do It”) movement, when 50,000 people joined forces to clean the whole country in a single day. What started as a grassroots effort in Estonia has since grown into a United Nations–recognized global event, bringing millions together in more than 190 countries every year.
The Embassy of Estonia in Brussels warmly invites you to be part of this worldwide action on Saturday, 20 September 2025, and help us make Brussels a cleaner, greener, and friendlier city.
📍 Where & How to Join
Brussels is taking part of the World Cleanup: from 11:00–17:00, cleanup points will be open across the city, where participants can pick up everything they need (gloves, bags, and tools).
The Estonian cleanup team will gather in the European Quarter at Square Marguerite 1, 1000 Brussels, led by Ambassador Katrin Juhandi and Deputy Head of Mission Rita Melder.
👉 Bring friends, family, or colleagues and register your participation HERE.
