New Estonian folk costume for Manneken-Pis on 24 February, Independence Day of Estonia

On 24 February, Independence Day of Estonia, Manneken-Pis will be dressed in a new Estonian folk costume.

Estonian Folk Art and Craft Union organized an idea competition to choose a new costume for Manneken-Pis. Folk costume from Jämaja village of the island Saaremaa by Mareli Rannap won the popular vote of the Estonian public.

The project is lead by the Center of Estonian Folk Culture in cooperation with Estonian Folk Art and Craft Union and the Embassy of Estonia in Brussels.
